Where in the world is the Tree City Traveler?
Hayfield, Jamaica
I am going to be in Jamaica from August 19-November 10. I will be traveling around the island, but I am spending a majority of my time in a small community called Hayfield. I lived in Hayfield as a Peace Corps volunteer from 2018-2020. I am going back to see friends, but also to complete some projects that I didn't get to finish as a volunteer. My goal is to build a wheelchair ramp at Hayfield Primary School. For more information visit www.hayfieldramp.com.

Kayaking down the upper Rio Grande river in Portland, Jamaica. The day we chose just so happened to be the start of Tropical Storm Ida (later upgraded to a hurricane!) Everyone made it home safe that day, but what an adventure! All we had were ocean kayaks and a dream.
